I worked in the natural products industry exclusively for 14 years, writing and editing stories in the form of celebrity/health expert interviews, DSHEA-compliant articles, SEO marketing content, books, newsletters, infographics, video summaries, web copy, product copy and marketing & training materials.
I honed my craft serving as managing editor of the national natural health publication, Healthy Living, for nearly a decade. Managing the production of more than 100 magazine issues, I wrote and edited stories about some of the most successful natural health brands including Garden of Life, Aubrey Organics, New Chapter, Barlean’s Organic Oils, EuroPharma USA, Earth Friendly Products, Kyolic/Wakunaga, Dr. Bronner’s, Sunlighten Saunas, Sovereign Silver and many others.
In my own business, I’ve created educational and sales-boosting marketing copy and digital content for successful companies such as brain health expert Dr. Daniel Amen’s BrainMD, MacroLife Naturals, Mushroom Matrix and Hyalogic, to name a few. And in writing an award-winning book, 50 Simple Steps to Save the World’s Rainforests (Freedom Press, 2012), I essentially marketed the message of environmental activism through shopping and lifestyle choices—an important message that supports many fantastic mission-driven natural products. Additionally, in 2016, I crossed over to beauty serving as executive editor of beauty trade magazine Beauty Store Business, which produces content on beauty retailing and beauty products, many of them natural.
I absolutely love helping good companies and great natural products succeed. It’s the “why” behind what I do—and it’s what makes me The Natural Storyteller.
